Dear international graduate students,
For graduate courses offered in the fall semester of 2025-2026 academic year, graduate courses for the fall semester of 2025 will begin on September 15 (Monday of the first week of the academic calendar), with some courses starting from September 22. The detailed arrangements for course enrollment are as follows:
Graduate students should enroll courses according to their personal training plans. Please set or revise your training plan under the guidance of your supervisor according to your program curriculum.
For students of the 2024 cohort and earlier, their training plans must be approved by their supervisors before course selection; in certain schools or disciplines, approval by the school is also required. For students of the 2025 cohort, unless otherwise specified by the school, the training plan may remain in “draft” status during course selection. Please be sure to consult your school in advance regarding specific requirements to avoid any impact on course enrollment.
For full-time graduate students of Class of 2025, the Chinese course will be enrolled by students themselves according to their Chinese proficiency. For more details, see: 上海交通大学2025级国际研究生汉语水平确认及选课通知.pdf. Introduction to Chinese and English for Academic Purposes courses will be offered in the Spring semester. The enrollment of some major courses for some schools will be arranged by the school, and you can check your schedule for confirmation. All other courses shall be enrolled by the graduate students themselves according to their respective training plan. For the courses arranged by University or Schools, the students can drop or add by themselves during the course enrollment period. Please note that students shall bear all the consequences themselves if they cannot add a course because the class is full after they drop it.
About graduate English course exemption application, please refer to the attachment at the end of the document for the 2025 Graduate English Course Exemption Application Notice.
For course selection can be done by directly logging into the graduate course selection website using jAccount at https://yjsxk.sjtu.edu.cn. For training plan setup and/or revision and course enrollment, please login https://yjs.sjtu.edu.cn with your jAccount.
Please note that adding courses to the training plan does not mean that you are on the course selection list. You must enter the course selection interface and choose your classes. Beyond the course enrollment period, no courses adding, dropping or changing will be allowed. Students should take the courses as on their schedule. No admission to the classroom if the course enrollment has not been done in advance. Those not on the course selection list are not allowed to attend classes or take assessments, and the selected courses and credits will not be recorded.
The system for training plan setup or revision and course enrollment opens in the following periods:
(i) Time for formulating and revising training plans: September 14, 09:00 - September 28, 20:00
(ii) Course selection opening time: September 15, 12:00 - September 28, 20:00
(iii) Application opening time for retake (re-examination): September 14, 09:00 - September 26, 20:00
Students who need to retake a course (or exam) are advised to submit their retake application as early as possible after the system opens. Once the application is approved, please complete course selection through the "Retake Course Selection" interface during the designated course selection period.
Starting from September 24, courses with low enrollment will be adjusted by the respective schools (departments). Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirements will be merged or canceled. Students are advised to log into the system promptly to check and confirm their personal schedules. The enrollment results for the canceled classes will be deleted. Affected students should adjust their individual training plans and selected courses accordingly (this must also be done within the time period mentioned in item 7 above).
For part-time graduate students, in principle, please implement according to this notice. And if the departments have special arrangements, please operate according to the notice of the departments.
Students from the School of Medicine should follow the arrangements from the Graduate School of the School of Medicine.
