Zhou Xuhong, a well-known expert of Construction Engineering, Professor of Chongqing University, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Honorary President of China Steel Construction Society, Director of the Technical Committee of the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction.  

Prof. Zhou will share his insights on the training of basic academic skills based on his own university experience, including doing literature search, conducting experiments, analyzing data, calculating, writing reports and papers, so as to encourage young students to combine theoretical and applied research methods to handle engineering problems. Prof. Zhou intends to introduce Yuelu Academy’s learning spirit of being erudite and informed, as well as to encourage students to absorb extensive knowledge and experience while keeping to clear research goals. He advises future scholars to persist in their own research field, work hard, lose no time, and keep a work-life balance. With diligence and perseverance, Zhou believes, students can not only achieve self-realization but also help build up a stronger country.
